The Pierre Shale formation was deposited during the Paleogene and Cretaceous periods about 70 million years ago. Daily bus service into Rocky Mountain National Park is available weekends beginning in Memorial Weekend and then daily from June 27, 2016 to September 7, 2016 and weekends until the end of September, 2016. My mind calm, the knitting absorbed any excess energy and left my senses free to absorb the stunning surroundings.
