You can do a day hike or mountain bike along the trail, going out and back the same way. The trail follows the scenic Junction Creek and then climbs up to Gudy's Rest, where many people enjoy lunch and then turn around. At one time, Niwot was an important hunting and fishing area for American Indians. “The law is clear: if the federal government is shut down, our National Parks must also be closed to protect public safety and pristine spaces.
