The Experience: If Aspen isn't quite your mountain town scene, head to Vail instead. Some of the highlights along the way are the towns of Silverton, Ouray, and Telluride. Glacial geology in Rocky Mountain National Park can be seen from the mountain peaks to the valley floors. The best time to visit Rocky Mountain National Park is from June to September when the snow is (mostly) melted and the hiking trails and attractions are accessible. Putting my Rocky Mountain inspired rectangles away until February, I eventually knitted up the remaining pieces and ironed the whole thing out before I framed the simple square and placed it on my beige wall.
