Enos Mills, the main figure behind the creation of Rocky Mountain National Park, enjoyed walking to Lily Lake from his nearby cabin. Wildflowers are common in the spring and early summer. “We were on par for a good year but after the closure, we pretty much stopped. Brian and I descended back to ~7,000 feet for dinner in a small-town Indian restaurant in Nederland, Colorado, west of Boulder. Vail doesn't always fit with everyone's budget, particularly if you want to spend a night during the high season.
