I am convinced Chautauqua is Colorado’s best-kept secret and I’m amazed how few locals know about its charms. The Rockies are unbelievable. We explored the Niwot Ridge tundra plateau, speckled with wildflowers of every shape and color, looked down on the layered blue mountain ranges below, while snow-tipped peaks gazed at us from still-greater heights.
